Welcome, I’m Daniel, your Gestalt Therapist.

In my Gestalt-based approach to transition counselling, I support individuals, couples, groups, families, navigating significant life changes—such as career shifts, relationship transitions, or personal crises—by fostering awareness of present-moment experience.

This practice emphasizes the integration of thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations, helping clients recognise internal conflicts and patterns that may be hindering change.

Through dialogue, experiential techniques, and body awareness, clients are empowered to make conscious choices and respond to transitions with greater clarity, authenticity, and resilience.

In my Gestalt Practice, the Pursuit of Balance is first the realisation that

balance not as a fixed state, but as a conscious, dynamic process of self-inquiry.

It involves cultivating awareness of how we think, feel, and act in the present moment,

and recognising where we may be out of alignment—internally or in relation to others.

Through experiential dialogue and body awareness, clients learn to identify and
integrate fragmented aspects of themselves.

This ongoing process fosters a more authentic and responsive way of being,
where balance emerges naturally through mindful choice

and self-responsibility.

DECADES OF TRAINING AND INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE INTEGRATING COMPLEMENTARY DISCIPLINES OF SELF-INQUIRY

My practice of Gestalt Therapy constitutes a radical viable alternative to other therapies such as CBT, psychodynamic, positive, and it is an excellent resource to heal anxiety and trauma, including PTSD, and psychosomatic symptoms; it will improve your decision-making processing, and helps you gain better perspective on your life goals. Some of the additional tools I integrate include:

    • Psychosomatics: This approach explores the profound connection between the mind and body, examining how emotional or psychological stress can manifest as physical symptoms.
    • Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP): Harnessing the power of language and storytelling, NLP helps us understand how the words we use shape our reality. By shifting our narratives, we can create healthier, more empowering versions of ourselves.
    • Psychogenealogy and Systemic Family Dynamics: Psychogenealogy explores how family systems and ancestral patterns influence our early development and shape our unconscious beliefs, behaviours, and emotional responses. By examining one’s role within the family structure, this approach helps professionals uncover how inherited family dynamics and unresolved generational issues may impact current challenges..
    • Mindfulness and Buddhist Psychology: With over three decades of experience in practices such as Dhyana, Vipassana, and mindfulness, I utilise these tools to cultivate present-moment awareness and foster inner peace and clarity.
    • Body Awareness: Techniques from Gestalt therapy, including Kepner’s Body Process, Blosh & Maturana’s Alba Emoting, and Moreno’s Psychodrama, help us reconnect with our body’s intelligence and release stored emotional energy.
    • Clinical Hypnosis: Based on Ericksonian methods, clinical hypnosis allows us to access, inquire, and communicate with the unconscious mind, uncovering hidden messages that guide self-discovery and transformation.
    • Jungian Archetypes and Depth Psychology: By exploring universal archetypes like the Hero, the Shadow we uncover deeper layers of the psyche, facilitating personal growth and understanding of recurring patterns in dreams, stories, and behaviour.
    • Coaching: Through practical, goal-oriented therapy, coaching helps individuals gain self-awareness and take meaningful steps toward personal and professional achievement.

    Mindfulness

Mindfulness meditation is the practice of focused attention, turning inward to observe thoughts, emotions, and sensations without judgment.

This cultivated awareness fosters personal growth by helping us break free from habitual reactivity, allowing for more conscious, aligned responses.

Neuroscience supports these benefits, showing that mindfulness increases prefrontal cortex activity (linked to emotional regulation) while reducing amygdala activity (linked to stress). It enhances brain connectivity, improving attention, clarity, and resilience.

Ultimately, mindfulness meditation nurtures deeper understanding, better communication, and intentional action, backed by both ancient wisdom and modern science.
